Loyal followers of Ariana Grande are calling for that a person who leaped a barrier and touched the performer during the recent Wicked: For Good debut be taken into custody or expelled from Singapore.

A circulating footage shows the individual from Australia bypassing photographers and rushing toward Grande while the actors made its way down a yellow carpet surrounded by fans.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo immediately pulled the surprised star away from Mr Wen, who was observed being escorted out of the event by guards.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being taken in", though official papers indicated that he was set to attend court on Friday morning. It is unknown if he was faced legal action.

Record of Disruptions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Troll Most Hated", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram feed features videos of him interrupting other celebrity events, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney show in earlier this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers event in the same location last winter.

"There needs to be action taken against him as this is evidently a criminal offence," wrote an Instagram commenter, in a response to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user questioned.

Fans Express Concern Over the Star's Safety

Numerous supporters blamed Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed experiencing PTSD after a devastating incident at the conclusion of her May 2017 show in Manchester, killing 22 people and injuring numerous individuals.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" wrote a further response on Instagram.

Some attendees also faulted guards at the Thursday event for not being vigilant enough; while some called for social media platforms to block Mr Wen's videos.

Response and Premiere Information

In videos circulating online, Grande seemed shocked when she was grabbed by the individual. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted consoling her while Mr Wen was removed by security.

Grande has remained silent on the situation, and the remaining proceedings carried on uninterrupted.

Hundreds of Singapore fans had queued up to greet the performers of Wicked

Hundreds of fans had congregated in a crowd of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific debut in a Singapore mall, including several who had queued for as long as eight hours before it began.

The film, to be launched on 21 November, is the follow-up of a dual adaptation of the popular theatrical show Wicked, which focuses on the unexpected friendship between two distinct witches.

The production itself is a adaptation of the twentieth-century book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the character Glinda Glinda, was adorned in a light pink glittering gown at the premiere while Erivo, who plays the villainous character, wore a elegant ensemble embroidered with roses.

They were joined by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the top-earning motion picture of 2024 in the UK, and earned 10 award recognitions, earning a pair for outstanding attire and production design.
