Dan Burn Always dangerous on corners and free-kicks, per usual, but may be another option for his teammate in the backline as opposed to alongside him. One wayward distribution after the break came close to the first goal for the visitors. Six

The young full-back Another assured display by the youngster after his debut versus Serbia. Saka was unable to take the opportunity from a clever flick over the Albania defence. The role is firmly his already. 7/10

Adam Wharton A debut start with the national team. Slightly loose when playing out however his whipped deliveries were a threat. A useful tempo-setter for the coach to call upon against teams who drop deep. Booked after a reckless challenge. 6

The midfielder Set-pieces from dead balls and set-plays caused problems. Enjoyed license to move on the left but was offside as the pass came with a chance to score. Awarded a well-earned substitution after an hour. 6/10

Jude Bellingham Operated in a high spot on the right and also contributed with dirty work. Showed flashes of quality but dragged an attempt over. Replaced in the closing stages by a teammate, his rival, after being booked. Seven

The winger Had the team's top opening before halftime, his strike well saved from Thomas Strakosha. With Quansah staying deep, it fell to him to provide width down the right side but his crosses from the touchline were inconsistent. Replaced late in the match. Six

The captain The match-winner scoring 77th and 78th goals at international level. His first a typical poacher’s finish while the second a superb finish with his head following a clever run from his marker. At 32, he’s only getting better and England stand a real opportunity in future competitions when he's in the team. 8/10

The attacker Had difficulty to make an impact out wide. Had a decent opportunity when set up by the midfielder yet the keeper kept it out. Rashford had a greater an impact when substituted. Five
