Powerful Cyclone Approaches Vietnam Following Claiming at Least 114 Deaths in Philippines
Prior to hitting in Vietnam, the storm system caused widespread destruction in the Philippines - with no fewer than 114 lives lost.
Philippines President Ferdinand Marcos Jr has proclaimed a state of calamity - the threshold of which involves mass casualty, widespread structural damage, and disruption to means of livelihoods and daily routines for residents of impacted regions.
This powerful storm, referred to locally as Tino, devastated the densely inhabited island of Cebu, inundating whole settlements and sweeping cars through the streets.
Numerous individuals of people have been evacuated, others are resting in temporary accommodations.
Emergency Response Efforts Underway
Rescue teams are actively operating as evacuated residents take cover in temporary housing.
The magnitude of this disaster has led to massive emergency response throughout the devastated zones.

Disaster teams were photographed engaged in extracting a casualty at a landslide location in Cebu City.
The severe weather has made homeless more than 400,000 people in the Philippines.
Thoroughfares are coated with debris and images show heaps of automobiles scattered throughout the impacted zones.
