Liverpool's Star Offers Apology to Teammates, Discloses Curtis Jones
Jones has disclosed that Mohamed Salah said sorry to the entire Liverpool squad following the uproar from his televised remarks.
What Happened
Salah was left out from a European match following making accusations and suggesting his connection to the head coach had deteriorated.
“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” the midfielder said. “He said sorry to the group and was like: ‘If I’ve affected anybody, I'm sorry.’”
The manager has previously declined to reveal on whether he got an explanation from the player.
Team Unity
He emphasized that the team's response remained positive. “He was his usual self, his demeanour was positive and we all treated him normally,” the midfielder explained.
He also noted that a player's desire to start is a positive trait. “It's clear there are different methods you can express yourself,” he said. “Yet, should someone be happy to just be on the bench, then I think that’s a bigger problem.”
Positive Results
Liverpool's form have stayed unbeaten in the period after the interview fallout. He feels the outburst were never meant to harm the team.
“When there’s been any sort of anger, it has consistently come from a good place,” Jones concluded. “We’re past that now and we’re gelling well as a team, getting results and on a positive run.”
